Abedi: I am also a fan of Dede and Jordan

His sons are writing the headlines at the club where he made his name but Abedi Pele does not want to share any part in their glory. The living football legend was in exhilaration the morning after Dede scored twice the night before to propel Olympique Marseille to the top of their UEFA Champions’ League group with Jordan also on song even if he was sent off late on.

Pele tells ALL SPORTS he is excited for the duo but as any other citizen of the land will be for them. “I am very happy and excited for them and will only pray that things will continue to be that good for them, that they avoid injuries and continue to improve. I’m happy like every Ghanaian that Ghanaian players are doing that well inEurope. I am their fan too,” Pele revealed.

Much the same way, Pele refuses to be drawn into the debate whether the elder of the Marseille duo, Andre, should listen to Arsene Wenger and make the move to English Premiership outfit Arsenal.

“It’s not me to ask, as we say, the choice is in his own hands and his managers. We are just on the fans’ front, cheering them and wishing them the best. As a fan, I can only pray that everything works out well for them,” Pele told ALL SPORTS.
