*Corruption in Ghana Football: Abbey Pobea hits hard on sports presenters*

Hon. Cubajee (Zorowa), with the backing of Arksports crew knows that there is an evidence of a match of convenience emerging from the Glo Ghana Premier League Math Day 27 clash involving already relegated B/A Stars and King Faisal at the Sunyani Coronation Park. Mr. Pobea in his remarks on corruption in our game made it known that, we have 43 rules and regulations governing our game but the FA have kept it in their wardrobe without touching it, they don’t act on it.

He said if article 35 could be used to punish Wilberforce Mfum of Kotoko fame for bringing the game of football into disrepute by using tribal remarks against referees, same must be applied to help fish out corruption and bribery. He also added that anyone with evidence on bribery allegation against a certain club must be encouraged to come out to bring the perpetrators to book.

According to Mr. Pobea, the organizers are the cause of match fixing in our country because they can change venues at any time without reference to the rules. He made emphasis on the Match Day 38 encounter between Mighty Jets and Asante Kotoko, the change of venue and the period it was played. How can they play their match on Saturday whilst others are playing theirs on Sunday? Manipulation would take place if l should support his statement.

He said we don’t have men in our game anymore, Hearts and Kotoko have become toothless bulldogs, their players are no longer called into our national teams meanwhile U-20 had as many as 4 players from Wa All Stars when they went to the world cup. And to me that is also true because no matter what, Hearts and Kotoko can’t desist from being the two most glamorous clubs in the Ghanaian league.

lf Ghana indeed have men like Mr.Pobea who can come out to voice out the whereabouts of the Glo 15 percent agency money supposed to be owned by Abraham Boakye.

He then turned the heat on some of the sports presenters and said because they only think about their stomach, they resist hitting on the facts because if they do, they would be denied a visa to travel outside the country for Ghana matches. So he termed those presenters as ‘ekom yeye’ in Ghanaian parlance meaning ‘hunger is painful’ presenters.

And so far as this appears to be the man we need to help make our game develop, I join his crusade as freedom fighters of Ghana football. Our football is so corrupt that no wonder Mr Abbey Pobea once said our FA is Mugabe FA, power drank.
