AC Milan to use Kevin Boateng as the trequartista ahead

Kevin-Prince Boateng Kevin-Prince Boateng

AC Milan coach Cristian Brocchi tested Kevin-Prince Boateng as the trequartista for Milan, moving Giacomo Bonaventura into midfield during Tuesday's training session ahead of Carpi's tie.

The new Coach won his debut, a 1-0 victory away to Sampdoria on Sunday night, as is now preparing for Thursday’s encounter with Carpi.

Bonaventura was the trequartista – creative figure behind the strikers – at Marassi, but there were more experiments in today’s training session.

Boateng was used in that role, moving Bonaventura into a three-man midfield and shoving Andrea Bertolacci on to the bench.

There need to be adjustments in midfield for this game, as Juraj Kucka is suspended.
