Ghana Under-23 skipper Lawrence Lartey is expecting a tough clash against perennial rivals Nigeria in Wednesday second group B game in the ongoing All Africa Games in Brazzaville.

The Black Meteors could only share the spoils against Senegal in a 0-0 stalemate in their opening game but will have to dig deep to improve on their performance.

The Ghanaians are up against their West African rivals in potential group decider and Ghanaian captain Lawrence Lartey admits their opponent will be tough to crack.

“It was not the kind of result we expected against Senegal. But we didn’t lose, we drew so we still have another chance,” he told Peace Fm.

“Everyone knows that games between Ghana and Nigeria are always difficult but we will do our best to win and qualify.”

“That is the only chance we have now, so we will do everything possible to win the game.”
