A.S Police To See Red On Sunday

In response to the call by their Chief Executive that all supporters must throng the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday to offer massive support in Kotoko?s semi-final clash against A.S Police of Congo, the chapter 43 branch of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Brong Ahafo Region are organising as many as eight buses for the Sunday match.

In an interview in Sunyani, the Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Branch of the supporters Union, Mr. Oppong Brenya stated that, nobody should tell the porcupine family how difficult this semi-final encounter could be, and that what can do the magic would be the colour-red. We need to paint the entire stadium with red and all should be there to put the fear of God in the policemen from Congo, he said.

Mr. Nicholas Incoom, the Organising secretary also hinted that, when Kotoko played Gazelle El Mahalla, four buses were arranged but this time around, together with supporters of B/A United, eight buses have been arranged with six already full. Mr. Incoom said that response from supporters have so far been fantastic and if things go as expected, one should not be surprised to see more than eight buses from the Brong Ahafo on Sunday.

It would be recalled that on Monday, the Chief Executive of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Herbert Mensah called on all soccer loving fans to throng the Kumasi Sports Stadium to support the porcupine warriors in their quest to annex the Mandela Cup, for the first time in the Nation?s history. Already, there are r! eports from other regions that suggest that the hard-working Chief Executive will not be let down
