A.S. Police Arrive Today

Reports filtering in indicate that a contingent of players and officials of A.S. Police Football Club of Congo are currently on transit in Lome, Togo.They arrived in Lome at 13hrs GMT and are expected in Accra later in the day. According to the Chief Executive of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Herbert Mensah, communicating with the Congolese team has been extremely difficult, as all efforts to find out about the travel itenary of the Congolese had proved unsuccessful, until this morning, when Kotoko Management were able to make contact with the Secretary-General of Congolese FA, who informed them that A.S Police were in fact in the air and would be arriving in Lome at 13hrs GMT.

Mr. Mensah, however, stated that every effort is being made to ensure that the usual Ghanaian hospitality would be there for the Congolese team.In his own words, Mr. Mensah said,that representing Ghana in this competition puts us in a position to project our country as the best in the world, and we have to do everything to make the Congolese team enjoy themselves while in Ghana,he said.
