2013 FA Cup Awards set for August 31

The 2013 MTN FA Cup Awards gala where top performers in the just ended competition will be decorated with their prizes has been set for August 31, AllSports understands.

This season’s awards are expected to be held at the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra. Nominees for the various award categories will soon be revealed to contest the Most Valuable Player award which was last won by New Edubiase Kotoko United’s Moro Ibrahim

Other awards which candidates will vie for include the Coach of the Tournament, Goal of the Tournament, Discovery of the Tournament, Defender of the Tournament, Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Top scorer of the Tournament.

Medeama claimed their first major trophy in their 3-year history when Theophilus Anobaah volleyed home a goal that won the MTN FA Cup final against Asante Kotoko last Sunday.
