10,000 Ghana Cedis boost for Bechem United

Accra, Dec. 19, GNA – Premiership debutants Bechem United has received a cash boost with the presentation of 10,000 Ghana Cedis by Augustine Oteng-Kusi, a Board Member of the Club.

Oteng-Kusi, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Victory Line Limited, a shipping-firm presented the cash donation to the team during the weekend’s Premier League encounter against Berekum Arsenal at the Bechem Park last Saturday.

The package is meant to motivate the players to give off their best in the on-going League.

Patrick Doamekpor, Administrative Manager of the Club told GNA Sports that the Board members have also charged the players to up their performance to improve on the position of the Club on the standings of the League.

The Board Member also assured of regular support to the playing body to inspire a positive performance in the League.

Oteng-Kusi and two others were recently appointed by President of the Club, Kingsley Owusu-Achau to help in the management of the Club.

Despite the huge financial boost, the team played out a 1-1 draw against visiting Berekum Arsenal last Saturday.

Bechem United are perched a place above the depth of the league table after managing only 10 points out of a possible 36 points.

The ‘Hunters’ next face fellow strugglers Tudu Mighty Jets in the week 13 clash on January 8, 2012 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
