God is very serious about his people committing sin:"for sin is the transgression of the Law." 1 John 3:4). Sin separates us from God
(Isaiah 59:2). Created in the righteous image of God on the sixth day of creation, Adam and Eve had God's light for a covering in Eden as an evidence of their innocence and holiness. It was only when they disobeyed God that they realized they were naked, and tried to cover themselves with some fig leaves (Genesis 3:7).
God solved the problem of sin by His own promise of restoration to their righteousness before the fall through the seed of the woman (Christ), "who will crush the head of the head of the Serpent (Satan), and he (the Serpent) will bruise his heel."
( Genesis 3:15; John 3:16).
The success of the Christian Life is found in, not man making promises to God for a future obedience as in Exodus 19:8, when the children of lsrael promised God obedience to His law, of which they broke a little later (Exodus 32:19)-- the old Covenant, but by man accepting the terms of God's New Covenant which He had provided in Christ as cited
in Ezekiel 36:26-27; Jeremiah 31:31-34.
When the Law is written in the heart, we will find it delightful to obey God's Law (Psalm 40:8)
