Hajj pilgrims don't need financial assistance from the government and have not been receiving any. Government's role is to facilitate the Hajj as part of its consular obligations. The fee that the pilgrims pay is inclusive of air fare, local transportation, accommodation and meals. Don't misinform.

This is a way of making money because everything they give you is paid for in gh15,000,00,I performed hajj last year 2016,I don't know what took place in the previous years but people who knew said few things has changed.we bought our own food whiles in Madina and in Makker,the only time we were fed was in Mina & Arafat.Whats more important to pilgrims is that,the hotel they rent should be closer to Haram (Kaba) so that people can worship regularly,pilgrims staying far from the Holy Kaba pay more transportation to go pray.Dont allow the hajj organizers to introduce anything new,they should rather improve on what exist,example other nations were able to transport their pilgrims from mozalifa to jamarat except Ghana and Senegal,the old men and women find it very difficult to make this journey on foot,the chairman of hajj boad trust me can not walk from muzalifa to jamarat so he should address that and stop creating avenues to increase the hajj fare.Last year when the dollar was so high,we paid $3000,00 only bringing the total to Gh12,000,00,so what has changed that pilgrims ve to pay $ 3,450,00?npp watch I.C Quare that man is not honest,may Allah forgive me but that's exactly what he is,he lies while holding the Quran.

By making this kind of pronouncement, Sheikh Quaye if feeding the misconception that government of Ghana sponsors and pay for the Hajj for Ghanaian Muslims. The truth is that the pilgrims don’t need freebies and have not been receiving any from government. Government’s role has not been financial but facilitative in the provision of the necessary consular services, and that’s how it should remain. The approximately $3,500 fee that the pilgrims pay covers air fare, local transportation, accommodation and food. Keep your politics away from the Hajj!
