Has Kwesi Pratt ever condemned Ghana Government for sinking millions of tax payers’ money into the annual Hajj operation to Mecca? This same Kwesi Pratt is always quick to condemn Israel and supports the Palestinian cause but will never condemn the slavery of black Africans by Arabs in Mauritania. Why is it so? Your guess is as good as mine. Kwesi Pratt has insatiable appetite for free money and so will do everything to solicit cheap oil money from rich Muslim nations. Shame on Kwesi Pratt. Christians are in the majority in Ghana, so we are more a Christian country than a Moslem country. So there is nothing wrong about the building of a national place of worship.
Common sense dictates that Akuffo Addo would not just wake up and start building a chapel with our money without giving us prior notice. But if critics are just critical because of the christian connotation, then it is hard luck! Ghana and Christianity are inseparable!

Please for your information both NDC and NPP have never sponsored Hajj operation in Ghana. They only sponsor their party members at the expense of the poor Ghanaian Muslims who pay cedi equivalent of $3600

Ghana is a secular country - this is enshrined in our constitution. Gov't has no business putting up a national cathedral. Gov't needs to build our economic infrastructure - provide schools, hospitals, roads etc
Gov't must get its priorities right. It cannot squander tax-payers' money on meaningless projects like cathedrals - this should be left to churches.
