Even the way leadership of the church are appointed is enough to provoke the anger of Jesus. Currently, it is only those with university degrees who are appointed as pastors. Any of their church members who acquires a university degree, whether by fair or foul means, is easily elevated without any recourse to their spiritual calling. Gradually, carnality has stealthily crept into the Church of Pentecost that is why their leadership is exhibiting mechanical gifts instead of their spiritual gifts. Why won't an elder advice the youth to use condoms if they cannot control their sexual urge. This a clear indication that the Spirit of Pentecost has departed the Church of Pentecost. Who born that stubborn sexual spirit to prevail in the days of Mckeon.
I have some few questions to ask Apostle Opoku Nyina since he claims to be an academician and if he is truly a distinguish PhD holder, I challenge him to answer them .
1) Why is it that 90% of songs sung by the Church of Pentecost currently were composed by their members who had no university degrees?
2) Do you know Jesus and Paul had PhD yet Jesus was called Rabbi and Paul was not. Why so?
3) Why did Jesus, in-spite of his high level of education, decided to chose activist and practitioners as his disciples even though majority of them were not well educated.

He has risen to his current position as general secretary not because of any particular or special spiritual qualifications but on the basis of standard career moves like networking, nepotism, academic qualifications, connections and even bribery. Where in the scriptures were the disciples and the apostles promoted on the back of such corporate greasy-pole methods? If the church wants to preach and expect people to live by biblical standards to the letter, the church must itself practice what it preaches first.

"A decorated donkey is still an ass", would rather the Church told the youth of today that Truth is relative when we know the consequences of Sin? Does God renege on His principles when He says that " Flee formication...?" and that "Your body is the temple of God"? Don't you think Joseph's example speaks against this generation of youth on this subject when his generation didn't have the luxury of the Bible then and the numerous examples we have?
For those of you who want the Church to endorse your actions of sexual indulgence should note that the Church does you no good if it encourages you on the use of condoms just because you cannot subdue your sexual appetite. For whether the Church does or not, God , the final Authority, does not change. I pray you come to the understanding that you are worth more.
But in any case, why do you want to practice medicine when you've not be certified? God who made you and also made Sex says, you can only indulge in it when you are married. However, since the church is still evangelising they should know that those they intend to convert may not believe in their abstinence concept for now. If we dont encourage them to use condoms, the future of the church may be bleak because churhes would be filled with believers with HIV and AIDS. Some christians today must remember that they were very lucky that they never contacted AIDS or HIV before conversion. We should remember that in the Church of Corianth, there was fornication and Paul encouraged them to marry. If AIDS/HIV were there in their time things would have been worse.
In any case Fornication is not the only sin in the Bible. This country seem religious yet the country remains same with bribery and corruption, etc.
Just Preaching that the Youth should abstain is not enough, lets FEED them, and Provide for their needs and some will be able to abstain.
