It just means that you may not have pursued a righteous plan regarding the achievement of your goals. Do you understand church? People in church are often full of lying, hatred and sin of every sort. God does not bless such activity! In fact, He condemns it and allows the curse to prevail because of it.
It is written, "In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury" (Mishlei/Proverbs 14:23). The Church must learn to do three things to realise vision:
1. Plan: short and long term.
2. Teach: principles of righteousness.
3. Give: resources towards vision.

This is what I find particularly about black preachers in general. They are quick to juxtapose their personal experiences and present it to their congregation as a biblical fact. If a preacher of God's word tells his congregation that prayer does not guarantee success, then he ought not to be preaching. The bible in Thessalonians 5:17, instructs Christians to "pray without ceasing". So the question to this prosperity preacher is: Is he preaching God's word, or he is making up his own word?
