This Obinim case is another vivid example os how Ghana's justice system has virtually collapsed to bribery and corruption - recall the famous Anas exposé. For someone to commit a crime and plead that he has compensated the victim of the crime and be set free as a result, shows how much corruption has eaten our justice system. Even the fact that this case whose facts are so simple but still has not come to an end even after 4 solid years shows how disgraceful our judges are. It is a clear case of Ghana's corrupt judges in action.
Judges are privileged public officials seated on a high throne of honour but they have exchanged this godly honour for corrupt money and material gains. They have therefore become a laughingstock all across the world. It is surprising how our judges don't care for their pride and honour at all. If a judge has pride and honour in his/her job, he/she would like anyone who reads his/her judgment to be full of admiration- but four judges don't care.
