People line up in turns to receive their "miracles" spending the whole productive day with their so called men of God. I pause for a moment and ask myself, Can't common sense tell these people that where they are is the pastor's office and he is just doing his job and taking his returns from them? and that they are also supposed to be at their work places and do productive work? Awwww, I tire self....

Miracles are nothing but stories. Pragmatism is the way forward. There is nothing like miracles. People must stop believing in miracles and take their destiny into their own hands to achieve what they want to achieve. They could do this by consulting experts for advice and counseling. Religion is a bane in our development. I always get frozen as I watch the so called miracle testimonies being told and performed on TV. People are being cheated out of ignorance. It is not miracles that have made the developed countries be at where they are now but hard work.

Ghanaians do not need any miracles from any imaginary supreme gods either from biblical or koranic scriptures to save us, miracles are for desert dwellers who lived several thousands years ago in the Middle East,we are in the age of digital[computerize age].All we need is education, development in our infrastructure like environmental and energy technologies, health and agricultural revolution, the so called men of god capitalise on those who are vulnerable in society and they tricked them into giving out their money even including cars and jewellery.

This is the second most important document I have encountered here at Ghanaweb. The 1st one was "A nation and continent fooled by religion". My fear is that the Ghanaians who need this information the most(those in these charismatic churches) may never get the opportunity to see or read these important articles. On the other hand they may dismiss these articles as the work of the devil and not pay attention to their content. The misuse of religion will not help the development of Ghana. Folks should be allowed to think for themselves and not be led to believe that everything has a spiritual answer. Most especially these so-called Charismatic churches should not turn their halls into hospital, admitting sick people to be cured of their diseases. The Ghanaian life expectancy will not see any improvements will such practices. The sick should be encouraged to seek help from healthcare practitioners, the unemployed should be encouraged to learn new trades, seek more education and seriously seek viable employments or start businesses and then pray on their own in their respective homes for Gods help. Folks should be encouraged to spend more time working or planning their business than spending numerous hours in at the centers of these charismatic churches. We are all Gods children, if we pray he will listen just like anybody else. Do not be fooled. Thank you.
