Look at how we negotiated and managed resources such as gold and the recently found petroleum.
It's mind boggling that when countries such as the UAE, Saudi and the Scandinavians have managed their oil very well, we couldn't have used those as case studies to make our nation prosperous.
We sold the oil cheaply and folks (government officials) took a kickback and gave the rest of the oil money away.
