Am hypothetically amusing myself with these thoughts for the simple reason that, Ghana and all Africa have remained a third world country God knows how long and still no headway.
The Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, the Far and the near East, and even the metropolitan West who do not see salvation through the christian Jesus belief policy, have, and are from time immemorial swimming in affluence and sharing their wealth with the rest of the world.

No topic excites many pastors more than tithes and tithing. Waxing eloquent, pastors with fiery zeal, would teach about how if you pay tithes God would bless you. How your business would flourish, how you would find that rich husband and how all would go well in your life. Blessings would flow like the Jordan River and life would be a bed of hibiscus petals. Conversely, you are also threatened and psychologically terrorized for not paying tithes- there would be no breakthroughs in your life, God would take away from you. Nothing would go well for you. Worst of all, you would be cursed by God because you have stolen from Him. Like the mighty spear of Goliath, Malachi 3:10 is launched at your heart.
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse - the whole nation of you - because you are robbing me." (Malachi 3:8, 9)
This verse has been used to intimidate many Christians into shelling out 10% of their income as tithes. It is probably the only verse in the Bible that many pastors quote when preaching about tithes. Were they not blessed men of God? If you believe pastors who tell you that you would prosper financially if you pay tithes, then you need serious Bible study. People like Oprah Winfrey, Ted Turner, LeBron James etc. are very wealthy, but they do not pay tithes, they are not even Christians. If you believe paying tithes would open gates to riches for you, then you are in for great disappointment and cannot carry the cross of Christ.

The simple argument is that the Church(religion) business is a reality and the right to ascribe to it must be respected. Prophesies for this purpose should not give violence the status of an alternative, just as the poilitician should not do. Simply calling for prayers for the future is enough. But signaling disaster is a wrong way of the usual "hightening anxiety" strategy for congregational expansion.
Can i ask those who believe in prophesies this questions: Is prophesy a fact or conditionalities of the future? If the former then prayers won't change anything. And if the latter then prophesy are the religious version of the usual millions of expectations we have about the future; in response to which we work to avert or secure. Just as this practicality is not limited to success, thesame with prophesies. We must begin to see religion simply as an ideal way of life rather than a divine way of life; if we want to be wise religious men and women.

If and if your prophecies are what to be obeyed then separate the CHURCH FROM POLITICS. You can pray to obstruct any mishaps on the nation, but NOT to be a PLAYER to prophecies which candidate to win election and back that candidate. A church leader is a person who many people look up to. And when the same leader begins to tell lies, YOU ARE DOOMED FROM GOD WHO IS THE MIGHTY ONE.

When will the black man acquire wisdom, and realise that there is no God other than himself? Jesus did not establish a religion. He merely preached about a new way of life but his teachings were hijacked by the powers that be, and used in subjugating the people.
Wake up people. All these pastors are fake. They are human beings just like you and I. They cannot do anything for you that you cannot do for yourself, so stop giving them your hard-earned money. Use some common sense, and stop being afraid of something that you cannot see.
