Very enlightening story. I used to think it was only Christian fanatics who always pray against enemies. As far as i was concerned, my life was almost perfect and i had no enemies. That complacency is what became my undoing. i currently have an enemy and i pray for justice to be served and peace to be my portion once more. This piece has been inspirational to me. Thank you.

Jayjay, I share the same story with you. For over ten years, i was persecuted at my work place. I did not offer any physical resistance, but rather maintained a calm mental strength, otherwise one could fall into depression. I greeted all who casted insinuations at me and loved them. In the long run, the truth came out 'miraculously'. Most of my enemies were scattered as a result of an incident, and they became culprits. In short, let us all follow what the scriptures teach us : BELOVED LET US LOVE, FOR LOVE IS OF GOD.

Trusting in the Lord, but protecting oneself from the enemy is a message of contradiction. Trusting in God is to accept each day as a gift, taking whatever the day brings with thanksgiving, living the day as a stranger in a strange land and whose protection depends on the hospitality of the host. therefore this stranger must do good and respect the laws of this land in order to go through the land peacefully. taking your own protection in your hands is to fight your own way, depending on your own strength which seem not to be the best, considering the number and strength of the enemy.Trusting in God is to accept a call to duty and to lay down your life in line of duty, hoping that your honour would come postumously. life in this world, which is short and would end anyway, sooner or later, is not worth defending at the expence of a heavenly reward. Yes, in the words of the master, lay your treasure where it would not corrode or be comsumed by the moth. One who believes in God and trust his life to God care must count himself as one soldier in the front line of battle field, fighting to uphold the banner of Love and service of God and mankind. Well done Richard.

We must obey and at the same time disobey.
WHAT KIND OF PRINCIPLE IS THAT?
Beats Me.
