Final year pupils in Sefwi-Waiwso begin classes

Final year Junior High School pupils within the Sefwi- Waiwso Municipality of the Western North Region on Monday resumed classes in readiness to write their final examination.

The Sefwi- Waiwso Municipal Education Directorate has 109 public and private basic schools.

A visit by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to some basic schools, saw pupils either cleaning the school compound or in class.

Some of the schools visited include Anglican Junior High School, Nana Andoh M/A Junior High School and English and Arabic Junior High School all in Sefwi- Asawinso.

Others are Okumdun Junior High School, Presby Junior High, Anglican Junior High and R/C Junior High School all in Sefwi- Waiwso.

At the Nana Andoh M/A Junior High School, the Headteacher and other staff were teaching the pupils how to observe social distancing and proper ways of wearing nose masks.

Majority of the pupils were seen wearing nose masks, while Veronica buckets were also placed at various points on the schools compound with soaps and tissue papers.

Some of the pupils in an interview with the GNA, expressed their joy to be back in school to complete their exams, since they also wanted to enjoy the free senior high school policy.
