After donating 70 Veronica buckets, 80 gallons of liquid soap, 3000 pieces of hand sanitizers and 140 packs of tissue papers a fortnight ago, Honorable Andrew Egyapa Mercer yesterday donated additional Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) and essential health supplies to both public and private health centers within the Sekondi Constituency.

A team led by the Constituency Chairman, Mr Percy Ansah, donated 20 Overalls, 20 Aprons, 20 Boxes of Nose Mask, 20 sets of headgear, 20 boxes of Surgical Gloves, 20 sets of Medical Safety Goggles and 110 bottles of Sanitizers to the Sekondi Health Center, the Sekondi Market CHPS Compound Facility and Egam Private Clinic at Asamensudo.

In a speech read on behalf of Honorable Mercer at Sekondi Health Center, he said, "I was touched by the challenges of the health workers when my attention was drawn to the lack of PPEs and the need for essential health supplies to aid their readiness to fight the COVID-19 should there be recorded cases in the Constituency"

The statement further reiterated that all the three (3) health facilities within the Sekondi Constituency will equally benefit from the essential health supplies he was distributing to enable them to prepare adequately to combat the COVID-19 disease should there be an outbreak within the constituency.

He emphasized that each and every member of his constituency should practice appropriate social distancing and strictly adhere to the health and safety protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health.

Present at the donation events were some NPP constituency executives from the Sekondi Constituency.
