Parliamentary candidate for Ketu South Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region, Dzifa Gomashie has donated Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers and soaps to police stations, other security agencies at the border, market centers, motor (okada) stations and health facilities in the Ketu South Municipality.

This is to promote the washing of hands as directed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Ghana Health Service (GHS) to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in the constituency and by extension the country.

The constituency is home to one of Ghana's biggest and busiest border, the famous Aflao-Lome border and due to the non-stop human activities in the area, it would be of importance for items to be provided in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Dzifa Gomashie advised motor riders to wash their hands frequently, use alcohol-based hand sanitizers and to also observe the recommended social distancing space of three feet as well as wear nose masks to prevent contracting or spreading the virus.

She also advised the administrators of the health facilities she visited to be ready at any time so they can effectively deal with any case of the virus in the municipality.

The various points which received the buckets were the security agencies at the Aflao border, Ketu South Municipal Hospital, motor riders at Aflao police station, Makavo junction, Awakorme, Avoeme, Viepe, Denu, and Klikor junction.
