Apinto Divisional Council promotes Girl Child Education

The Apinto Divisional Council as part of activities marking the 2019 Amankuma Festival has organised a seminar on Girl Child Education to encourage the citizenry on the need to empower the girl-child for national development.

The seminar which was held at Gaddiel Acquah Methodist Church Cathedral in Tarkwa was on the theme: "Girl Child Education And National Development".

It is the first activity to open series of activities outlined to celebrate the festival which will be climaxed on Saturday December 14, 2019 with a non-denominational service on the following day.

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Coordinator for Girl Child education, Madam Hawa Salifu in addressing the gathering, touched on the challenges girls are faced which in terms of their education.
