Rehabilitate feeder roads - Assemblyman

Asuofufu (B/A), April 26, GNA - Mr James Kwabena-Osei, assemblyman for Forikrom Electoral area in Techiman Municipality of Brong Ahafo has appealed to the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the Fiaso-Asuofufu 10-kilometre road.

Mr Kwabenba-Osei made the appeal when he led the Acting Techiman Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Isaac Osei-Antwi to inspect some roads in the area.

He said the rehabilitation of the roads would facilitate the carting of farm produce, especially yams to the Techiman market instead of Nkoranza.

He said the deplorable nature of the roads made it difficult for harvested yams to be brought to the marketing centres. Mr Osei-Antwi commended the people for their initiative to maintain a portion of the road through communal labour.

He announced that a number of feeder and urban roads have been selected in the Municipality to be re-constructed. Mr Osei-Antwi advised parents to educate their children on the dangers in unprotected sex and urged them to use their little resources to care for their children in schools.

The Acting MCE explained the importance of the Mutual National Health Insurance Scheme and advised them to register.
