Anti-HIV/AIDS clubs formed in schools in Adansi South

Atobiase (Ash), April 20, GNA - Future Protectors, a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) based at Atobiase in the Adansi South District, has formed anti-HIV/AIDS clubs in five basic schools in the district to campaign against the spread of the pandemic. The schools are the Obonsu, Subin-Camp, Atobiase, Asarekrom and Nkranfo-Nkwanta D/A junior secondary.

Mr Agyenin Boateng, Co-ordinator of the project, expressed concern about the spread of HIV/AIDS in the district in an interview with the their colleagues, parents and the youth about the dangers associated with the disease.

Mr Isaac K. Appiah, HIV/AIDS counsellor, called on teachers to highlight more on the effects of the disease to enable people change their behaviour and attitude. 20 April 05
