Apam to be hooked to the Internet

Apam, April 12, GNA - Apam is soon to enjoy Internet facilities, Mr Joe Hackman, Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa West, announced on Monday.

He said the project, which would cost 20 million cedis was his personal donation to his constituents in appreciation for the mandate they gave him in the Election 2004.

Mr Hackman announced this at a forum organised by the Apam Town Council at Apam over the weekend to deliberate on the development of the township.

He urged the people to come up with historical, cultural and other relevant facts and ideas that would ensure the success of the project. Nana Kwame Ntoa IV, Tufuhene, who is also the Managing Director of K E and Sons Construction Company, lauded the Apam Town Council for their initiatives in development and made a personal contribution of 10 million cedis towards the projects.

Nana Adu Effrim X, Odikro, advised parents to ensure that their children studied hard, adding that it was only through dedication and hard work that they would be successful in their education, thus taking up responsible positions in society. Contributors at the forum stressed the need for the establishment of permanent offices for all the decentralised departments to ensure efficiency in their work.
