As part of activities to expand the reach of its library initiative, West Blue Consulting Limited has commissioned a third e-Ananse library at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Office Complex.

The library houses contemporary as well as classic books, predominantly from African writers, an I-hub as well as an Ananse amphitheatre.

The launch of the Accra Library coincided with the commemoration of the International Reading Day at Ghana Reads, an annual community reading festival.

E-Ananse is a bold new concept powered by West Blue Consulting, where public libraries are established to revitalize Ghana’s reading culture with the blend of modern technology.

Nana Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng, former Chairman of the National Media Commission, urged other corporate organizations and religious bodies to emulate the initiative by West Blue and its partners for the e-Ananse project.

“Public places need to have libraries. We need to have strategies and these must be led by state institutions. Also a lot of time is spent in churches in this country therefore we must encourage churches to have libraries,” he argued.
