Awutu Bawjiase Methodist school PTA appeal for help

Awutu Bawjiase (C/R), Feb. 25, GNA - The authorities and PTA of the Awutu Bawjiase Methodist Primary and Junior Senior School on Thursday renewed their appealed to the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly and the Ghana Education Service to help complete a three-classroom block they had started.

Mr Addie Ntim, head teacher of the primary school and Secretary of the PTA, who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Awutu Bawjiase said the project being undertaken by the PTA through contribution of 5000 cedis per head had come to a standstill due to lack of funds.

Mr Ntim said because of accommodation problems facing the JSS section of the school, the authorities have been compelled to put palm branches on the present half way completed building and is being used by the JSS one and two classes.

Mr Ntim, who later conducted the GNA round the project site, said the situation makes it impossible for classes to take place when it rains and appealed to other NGOs to come the aid of the school.
