Youth Employment Agency gives support to Evalue Gwira MP's special initiative

About 400 beneficiaries under the MP's Vocational and Skills Training Program in Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira Constituency in the Western Region have expressed profound appreciation to their Member of Parliament and Minister of State, Hon. Catherine Abelema Afeku for giving them life time carrier.

The highly elated apprentice expressed this feeling when the MP and officials from Youth Employment Agency (YEA) paid a courtesy call on them to get first-hand information on the various challenges they face as well as the progress made so far.

Speaking to the beneficiaries over the weekend, the MP, Hon Afeku encouraged them to make the best they can out of this special initiative amidst the various life odds that always stare them in the face and also urged them to persevere to make their dreams a reality.

The Hon. Minister also promised to broaden the zonal coverage to increase the number of the beneficiaries in the Constituency.

On her part, the YEA Director in charge of Technical Services, Madam Afua Gyekyewaa reiterated government's effort and commitment to supporting the beneficiaries to set up their own businesses after completion of their training-apprenticeship by providing them with a well furnished shop.

She, therefore, seized the opportunity to commend the MP for such an initiative and admonished the Constituents to continue to have absolute faith in her and accord her the maximum support.

It will be recalled that on 6th March 2019, Hon. Afeku presented over 200 sewing machines and other materials to the beneficiaries of this special initiative and the number has since increased to 400.
