The La Nkwantanang Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) has held a feast for the inmates of Echoing Hills, a home for Persons With Disability (PWDs) and Special Needs at Madina in Accra.

The assembly also presented various food stuffs and ingredients including rice, oil, palm nut, cassava, plantain, tomatoes, pepper, fruit of all kinds, biscuits and drinks among others to the home.

The inmates were treated to all kinds of sumptuous rice meals, banku and tilapia and assorted drinks amid relishing and dancing to melodious contemporary songs.

The event which is held twice in a year during Easter and Christmas was organized for inmates of the home to enjoy their share of the Easter Festivity to erase any misconception of being neglected by society.

The Municipal Chief Executive Madam Jennifer Dede Adjabeng said the assembly has done this as a moral and social responsibility to bring some joy to the inmates.

She said the gesture by the assembly will not be the last time as it would continue to build a closer relationship with the inmates to make them feel loved.
