Accept the chosen regional capitals – Ntim to Ch

The ground is pregnant for some new political realities and realignments.

As far as I am concerned, the names of some regions don't make sense. One of such regions is the Central Region. The question to ask is: central to what? The Central Region is not at the centre of the country, rather at the southern coastal seaboard. Scrap the misnomer and give it a proper name like the Pra Region. The Eastern Region is another of those misnomers. The region does not lie at the eastern most part of the country, Volta, Oti and Northern Regions do. Change that name to reflect some big natural landmarks in the area, like the Afram Region.

As at now we have ridiculously sounding regions. The time has come to change them to go with the new realities on the ground. We have big landmarks and rivers or even founding fathers to name the regions after. Who the heck is Volta to even have a name in Ghana, which of the Ghanaian tribes did Mr. Volta come from? Name it after Gbedema or Afadjato, I don't care, but Volta? …..Please! Western Region can be named after Nkrumah or Ankobra and the Eastern Region after Danquah, whereas Dombo can go for Upper West and the remaining Northern Region renamed as Dagbon Region. Let's do something to reflect our heritage and Africanness, not stupid Euro-centric names. Change them now.
