Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, overlord of Waala Traditional Area, has paid a visit to the Wa Municipal Assembly to foster a spirit of unity and support.

Naa Pelpuo IV’s familiarization visit marked the turning point in his desire to build a meaningful relationship between the assembly and his palace to promote more developmental activities in the region.

The overlord expressed joy with the warm reception the assembly gave to him and his elders adding that he would continue to collaborate with the assembly to execute its mandate.

Naa Pelpuo IV’s visit gave the assembly the opportunity to appeal to the overlord to help the assembly’s effort at halting truancy among children at their academic affairs.

Alhaji Tahiru Issahaku Moomin, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, expressed concern about the recent upsurge of student non-performance in schools within the municipality.

He expressed the hope that the overlord would assist them in that direction adding that the assembly is happy with the visit of the overlord.

Mr Abdul Salam Kadiri, the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, led a team of the assembly and the overlord and elders to tour the assembly.

Mr Kadiri described Naa Pelpuo IV visit as a “landmark event” in the history of the assembly.

“We are very glad to you and your elders for the courtesy paid to us,” he said.
