The Eastern Regional Police commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Simon Yaw Afeku has urged wives of police officers not to hesitate to report their husbands who are treating them badly at home.

He indicated that it is worrying and sad when Policemen who know the law threat their wives at home like slaves.

DCOP Simon Afeku said this at the 30th anniversary celebration of Eastern Regional Police Wives’ Association (POLWA) which was held at the forecourt of the regional Police Headquarters at Galloway in Koforidua.

Meanwhile, DCOP Afeku also advised the Police wives not to take advantage of his words to show gross disrespect toward their husbands.

He said as wives, they must endeavour to exhibit good behaviour and show kindness to everybody in their communities and continue to be good wives.

“Do not let your behaviour make people hate your husbands and be fighting and killing some of them,” he cautioned.
