Abeadze Traditional Area celebrates peaceful Ahobaa Kese Festival

Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Omanhen of Abeadze Traditional has expressed appreciation to government for the various developmental projects that has been executed in the area.

He however appealed to government to complete the road between Nkwanta and Abeadze Dominiase on the Mankessim-Tetse link of the Mankessim-Kumasi highway and Abeadze Dominase-Baafikrom Road for free movement of goods and services.

Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi who is also the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs made the commendation at a durbar of chiefs and people of Abeadze to commemorate the 2017 Ahobaa Kese Festival held at Abeadze Dominase in Central Region.

The festival on the theme, “Reminiscing the Past, Consolidating the Foundation and Building the Future” was to celebrate a successful harvest season, recall their history and venerate the ancestors, coincided with the 21st celebration of Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII installation as the Paramount Chief of the Area.

The Paramount appealed to the government to complete the Abeadze State College being the only second cycle school in the area, which is about 30 percent complete.

On illegal mining, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi, called for the support and active collaboration of all Nananom to achieve the needed results.

He expressed the hope that, the five components selected by the government “Planting for Food and Job, Seed, Fertilizer, Extension service, marketing and E-agricultural” will go a long way to help address challenges the small holder farmers encounters for successful agriculture transformation.

Mr. Kenneth Kelly Esuman, Mfantsiman Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), appealed to parents to let the education of their children be the utmost priority, saying it was only when they were well informed that they would be able to contribute meaningfully towards the development of the country.

He announced that the Municipal Assembly has put in place measures to deal with bar owners who turned their spots to disco and night clubs especially when the final year Junior High School Student completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination, adding that people who indulged in such practices and other forms of abuses should put a stop to it.
