Three communities in Sissala East District to be connected to the national grid

The Member of Parliament for the Sissala East constituency, Abass Ridwan Dawda has disclosed to Radford News that three communities namely Bachemboi, Duu and Bawiisibelle would in the coming days be connected to the national grid. This is possible after some transformers were arranged for the contractor to get back to site and ensure the community that have suffered in the dark gets lights.

The honorable MP who was speaking on the Masie Breakfast Show Tuesday morning disclosed, that five transformers would be brought and distributed to the selected communities and would be connected by Saturday, he added that two of the transformers would be given to Duu as well as Bawiisibelle and one would be sent to Bachemboi community for connection.

Hon Ridwan however advised the three communities to prepare and avail themselves Northern Electricity GRIDCO for the electricity company to connect the light in to their various homes and stores. The communities have been without electricity for years even after Tumu was connected to the national grid in 1992. A recent china water electrification drive skipped the communities.
