Matilda Amissah-Arthur donates to Multikids Inclusive Academy

The Wife of the former Vice President, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur, has encouraged children to learn hard and pass their exams in order to become future leaders.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur gave the advice on Wednesday during a visit to Multikids Inclusive Academy which is an International School, located in East Legon.

The Academy has a Specialised learning environments for typical learners who may have a specific learning challenge like Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Aspergers, Mild Autism.

Specialised learning environments for learners with Special Educational Needs like Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Global Delay.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur, a friend to children and a mother for all, said it had been her practice to visit such schools that helps bring out the best in children because they are our future leaders.

A friend to children over the years, she said it had been her practice to visit places of such nature and interact with the children.

As part of her passion to encourage children to adopt good reading habits, she donated reading books and some educational materials for special needs to support the children. She advised the children to learn work hard and give maximum respect to their caregivers.

Mrs. Amissah Arthur took the opportunity to thank the management of the school who has made it possible for them to succeed in care giving to such great children in society for a better future of the children.

She used the occasion to wish the children and the staff well and promised to be visiting them from time to time, and God's blessings
Multikids Inclusive Academy is an International School, located in Ghana, West Africa.

Multikids Inclusive Academy was established in February 2010 and is governed by a Board of Directors. Multikids grew out of a small special school founded by Sigrid Kootstra, called COLEDIC. Mandy and Sigrid worked together to co-found Ghana's first and only inclusive school, Multikids Inclusive Academy, educating children in a co-existing learning environment.

Multikids combine specialist creative, academic and vocational teaching and learning based on the UK National Curriculum, for students from 6 months to 21 years.

The environment of inclusion is only possible through the intervention of excellent therapeutic services. Our inclusive school believes passionately that all children have the right to an excellent inclusive curriculum.

Their multidisciplinary team of education professionals includes specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists. It follows the UK National Curriculum and has an international body of students from 4 to 18 years old. Students have Individual Education Plans.
