The Zongo Youth Month train is leaving no stone unturned in #CelebratingtheZongoYouth and #TellingtheZongoStory.

The Change for Zongo Youth team paid a courtesy call on the Zongo Youth chief of Accra, Sarki Alhaji Salisu Maude, on Tuesday 11th April, 2017.

The visit was to officially inform him of the Zongo Youth Month and seek his blessing and support.

Sarki urged the youth to genuinely work hard, stating "hard work sells, crystallizes and lasts forever" in the minds of whoever it is sold to, especially, the youth.

He advised the group against sidelining other members of the Zongo community, and emphasized the "need to pull as many as possible to come along".

He also advised them to "eschew negativity"and consider their fellows as themselves.

He further described the dire situation of the Zongo youth, and indicated the importance of initiatives like the Zongo Youth Month in "re-channeling their energies and utilizing their youth".

The Change for Zongo Youth team presented a branded Zongo Youth Month T-shirt to the chief, who pledged his support for the course, identifying himself as a "partner in development" and promising to help when required.

The Zongo Youth Month team is embarking on an outreach to key stakeholders ahead of its major activity 'Zongo Youth Day Out with Sarki Maude" on Sunday 23 April, 2017.
