NKrachiwura urges politicians to be decorous during campaigning

Kete-Krachi (V/R), Jan. 26, GNA - Nana Mprah Besemuna III, Krachiwura, at the weekend urged politicians to exhibit maximum decorum in their campaign messages to make the up-coming general elections incident free.

He said the relative peace and tranquillity being enjoyed currently could not be sacrificed at the altar of party politics and therefore, appealed to politicians to be circumspect in their quest to canvass for votes.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, Nana Besemuna cautioned politicians to be wary not to divide the country on party lines as this might polarise and stall growth and development. He said it would take the collective efforts of all parties to move the nation forward, adding, "No one faction can possess the Midas touch to put the country on a different plinth."

The Krachiwura commended the government for tarring three kilometres of the Krachi town roads, which he said, would reduce health related hazards associated with dust pollution.

He urged government to upgrade all district hospitals to make the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme easy to serve and contain the large population in the operational areas.

He appealed to the Ghana Health Service to provide the Krachi Hospital with an ambulance, mortuary and personnel to assist in healthcare delivery in the area.
