About 100 Muslim households at Tema New Town have received food items from Karpowership Ghana as they prepare to celebrate the Eid ul Fitr festival.

The items include rice, oil, tin tomatoes, tinned fish, and beverages.

Presenting the items to the Imam of the community, Communications Specialist of Karpowership Ghana, Miss Sandra Amarquaye, said this initiative forms part of the company’s effort to maintain a harmonious relationship with the community in which it operates.

“Karpowership understands that Eid ur Fitr festival is an important time in the calendar for many of our colleagues and friends in the communities in which we operate,” she said. “Thus we are happy to celebrate this big day with you.”

The Imam of Tema New Town sheik Abdallah Umar Ibn Abubakar who received the items thanked Karpowership for the gesture.

“We are so happy Karpowership thought of us in this festive season,” he said.

“These items will be shared among all the families in this community” Miss Amarquaye said Karpowership Ghana Limited is a socially responsible company that is committed to giving back to the community since it began operations last year.

As a strategic partner, Karpowership says it is committed to Ghana’s development and will continue providing all Ghanaians reliable, sustainable, and affordable electricity.

Karpowership says it is committed to supplying sustainable and affordable electricity to Ghana, since it began producing power in December, 2015.

Karadeniz Powership Ay?egül Sultan, with an installed capacity of 235MW, has been running efficiently and has been producing, on average, 210 MW of uninterrupted electrical energy.
