Jomoro Assembly members urged to approve Ackah's nomination

Takoradi, Sept. 22, GNA- An opinion leader at Jomoro, Mr. Frank Ettie has appealed to the people of Jomoro district, to bury their political differences and cooperate in endorsing the appointment of President's nominee, Mr. Martin Ackah as the substantive District Chief Exective for Jomoro.

Mr. Ettie noted that political differences among the people in Jomoro for the past two years have undermined the development and progress of the district.

He said the situation has left Jomoro being the only district in the country without a substantive District Chief Executive. He said although Jomoro has only one constituency with only one Omanhene, "There is too much backbiting and under mining in its political front contributing to the under development state of the area".

Mr. Ettie said Mr Ackah who is over 30 years is well educated and experienced and therefore asked those people who hold the notion that he is too young to be a DEC to discard such a "wrongful notion".

Mr. Ettie who is the managing director of Frankett Limited in Takoradi commended Mr. Kojo Armah district chief executive for Nzema East and acting DCE for Jomoro for his hard work in ensuring peace in the area.
