The agreement entails that the CIC/BYS hostels Limited would provide over 1000 small housing units within a period of two and a half years to be given out as hostels to students of the Polytechnic.

Mr. Emmanuel Okumi Andoh, Acting Rector of the Polytechnic in a commitment letter to the company said, "we as a school are prepared to support in ensuring the successful implementation of the project ".

Mr. Okumi Andoh said the Polytechnic was ready for the conversion into a technical university, and that, the facility would solve the accommodation problem of students.

A copy of the agreement letter issued to the Ghana News Agency said, "We think the project is a timely intervention in the life of the Polytechnic and education in the country ".

Already, the Polytechnic has made available two separate lands of four acres each for the developers to choose the suitable site for the project, which is expected to be completed in September 2016.

The project when completed would enable students to have access to single, double and four in one occupancy comparable to any international hostel.

Mr. Okumi prayed that the company adheres to the entire request in the agreement signed between the two parties.
