RCC commiserates with Okuapeman RCC commiserates with Okuapeman

The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council, led by the Regional Minister, Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere has condoled with the Chiefs and people of the Okuapeman Traditional Council over the death of the Okuapehene, Oseadeeyo Addo Dankwa.

The RCC expressed its sympathy at Akropong when people from all walks of life from the Akuapem State converged at the palace to show their sympathy and grief on the death of the chief, who ruled for 41 years.

Accompanied by the Deputy Minister, Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong, and all the Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region, Mr Antwi Boasiako Sekyere described the late chief as a statesman who lived up to expectation.

He said: “It is in the light of his statesmanship that I appeal that his funeral and all other rites would be devoid of confusion and dispute to his honour.”

The Adontenhene of Akuapem, and Chief of Aburi, Otoobour Gyan Kwasi, who sat in state as the Acting President of the Traditional Council, thanked the Minister and the RCC for the support and also made an appeal for a face-lift of the Palace.

Earlier, Nana Osim Kwatia, the Gyasehene of the Traditional Area, and the Chief of Amanokrom, in line with tradition, informed the Minister and his entourage about the demise of the chief.
