Security Personal Smuggling Cocoa

Residents of Juabeso-Bia and its surrounding communities at the weekend accused security agencies in the district for alleged complicity in the smuggling of cocoa to neighbouring Cote d’Ivoire.

They alleged that some security agencies connived with smugglers and exported both raw and dry cocoa beans through unapproved routes.

These allegations were made at the People’s Assemblies held in the Juabeso-Bia District.

They appealed to the Western Region Security Council to monitor the activities of security agencies along the various borders in the region.
