Jordan Larbie receives Honorary Doctorate Degree

The King of Kings University College – Ghana in collaboration with Bishop Garrison University – London in association with London Metropolitan University has conferred an honorary doctorate degree on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jorbies Holdings Limited at a short ceremony in Accra.

Dr. Jordan Larbie the Chief Executive Officer of Jorbies Holdings Limited and a businessman was a former worker at ACP, MTN and Voltic Mineral Water, Cemonit Gh. Ltd. as well as other well noted companies in the country.

The well-patronized programme had in attendance the clergy and a host of dignitaries from academia and loves ones from all walks of life to grace the short but very impressive programme.

The honorary doctorate degree was given to him for his meritorious services to humanity, job creations, business and philanthropic deeds.

A citation accompanying the award given to Dr. Jordan Bekoe Larbie read in part “You have served your country with dignity and devotion to duty inline of businesses, propelling you to greater heights in life By dint of hard work, you have over the years rendered useful services as a businessman at the local and national levels.”

It continued: “The King of Kings University College – Ghana in collaboration with Bishop Garrison University – London in association with London Metropolitan University salutes you and on this occasion confers on you this Honorary Doctor Degree”.

Dr. Asante, President of King of Kings University College, Ghana, said the award had made a public recognition and manifestation of the achievements of the recipients.

He added that Africans and Ghanaians must recorgnised their heroes before they departed and they sign long tribute to recognize their good works whilst they are leaving.

He lauded him and his dedication to the cause of mankind and hoped he would not relent in his efforts to serve humanity.

“I ask for your continued support and to make your life an example of excellence to the youth,” Dr. Asante observed.

Dr. Jordan Larbie has been able to stir the affairs of Jorbies Limited from a single company to a holdings company having five well doing companies under the Jorbies umbrella.

His leadership has brought on board Jorbies Micro Finance Ltd. Jorbies Real Estates Ltd. Jorbies Transport & Logistics Services Ltd. Jorbies Gas & Petroleum, Pensol Capital Trust, Tires Power Ltd., and finally, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Ltd. These organizations employ young graduates to earn a living after education.

His project management skills are at bare for staff usage, a steadfast leader who wants results not excuses. Remarkable about him is the ability to visualize. He see where no one can see, he conquer when everyone has retreated. His interpersonal relationship with all staff is excellent.

He is extremely humble, friendly and accommodating, yet fearless to punish the wrong doer. Customers attest to his justness and frankness as he explains the difficult situations and seek better ways to address and make customers and stakeholders satisfied.

The only branch he started with was Kaneshie in a small single-store room. His wonderful leadership skills has skyrocketed to a number of branches from one to sixteen with five outlets given twenty-one and still counting.

His level of diligence is indescribable. He works all day, pushed and pulled everyone along. Over 540 people are on his payroll and he feeds thousands of people without complaining.

He is currently a full standing member of Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana and has completed his Masters in Business Administration from University of Ghana Business School.

Dr. Jordan Larbie thanked the University for honouring him and said this would propel him to strive for excellence in his endeavours.

He stressed that university education was universal and that the King of Kings University College – Ghana in collaboration with Bishop Garrison University – London in association with London Metropolitan University should foster closer collaboration with their other sister universities abroad to share ideas and experiences.
