Land administration should be done responsibly - Chief

Nii Otu Tetteh II, Paramount Chief of the Kpone Traditional Area, on Thursday said the sale and distribution of lands should be done with a high sense of accountability.

"These lands do not belong to us alone, but to generations unborn. We should always bear this in mind."

Nii Teteh II, said this in Accra when he handed over eight acres of land to the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly at Kpone.

He said it was much more economical to put up story buildings because that helped to conserve the land and pledged that he would ensure land dispensation within his jurisdiction was done responsibly.

Alhaji Essa A. Tetteh, District Chief Executive of the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly, expressed his appreciation to the chief and said the handing over of the land was most timely and needed.

He said the land would be administered well to benefit the assembly.

The Kpone-Katamanso District Asssembly is one of the 46 assemblies created last year.
