Yendi gets fuel

Residents of Yendi are relief as some filling stations in the Municipality have started receiving fuel.

The whole of Yendi Municipality for almost one week was hit by severe fuel shortage.

The situation affected teaching and learning because teachers who travelled long distances on motorbikes to render their services laid down their tools.

Speaking to Citi News, the Assemblyman for Kumfong electoral area, Aminu Musah stated, “I can confirm to you that filling stations in the Yendi municipality have started receiving their consignments and I think it will now revive economic activities which grounded because of the fuel shortage.”

On revenue mobilization, he said the Yendi municipal assembly has moved to prosecute property owners who do not honour their tax obligations.

Mr. Aminu, a member of the finance committee said they have been tasked to register all hawkers in the Yendi municipality.

This is aimed at maximizing the assembly’s revenue mobilization to execute its development agenda.

Also, as part of the assembly’s willpower to ensure best sanitation practices, all Landlords in the Yendi municipality have been instructed to provide toilet facilities in their buildings.
