Asante-Mampong Babies Home receives gifts from the Sompahemaa

The Asante-Mampong Babies Home has been presented with a quantity of baby diapers, mower and cash of GH¢1,000.00 for the upkeep of the little ones.

These were gifts from Nana Konadu Yiadom, Sompahemaa of the Offinso Traditional Area, known in private as Madam Victoria Bansah.

She said it was her contribution towards efforts at providing care for the kids at the orphanage.

She said as a Christian, she sees it a responsibility to assist bring smiles on the faces of those in pain and the vulnerable.

Nana Konadu Yiadom, who is an Executive Member of the Women’s Ministry of Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Cathedral in Kumasi, invited the rich to be generous to the poor, particularly during the yuletide.

The Most Reverend Dr Daniel Yinka-Sarfo, Anglican Archbishop for the Administrative Province of Ghana, commended her for the gesture and encouraged other church members to emulate.

Madam Mabel Asafo-Adjaye, Superintendent of the Home, said the gifts were a big relief.
