Learning Materials To Aburi – Amanfo L.A JHS

Dream Alive Foundation (DAF) a Non Governmental Organization has presented educational learning materials worth over Ten Thousand Ghana cedis to Aburi – Amanfo L.A Junior High School to improve learning standard in the school.
The organization formerly known as Get Together Movement (GETOM) last Monday in a brief ceremony at the school presented two (2) desktop computers, text books covering five (5) subject areas, Mathematical sets and a compilation of past questions and answers to the school at Aburi –Amanfo in the eastern region.
Presenting the items, the initiator and leader of the group, Mr. Daniel Osabutey a lecture at Accra polytechnic have asked the students to take their learning very seriously and put the items into good use. He added that the group is also ready to sponsor any pupil who will obtain eight (8) ones in the upcoming basic exams to further his / her education at the senior high school level.
Mr. Osabutey revealed that he went to the school a couple of weeks ago twenty (20) years after his national service at the school and he found out that the school is lacking behind with some basic learning materials and that has necessitated his move to lead the group to donate the items to the school.
In addition Osabutey pointed out that the groups top priority is looking at ways of bridging the educational gap between the rural and the urban schools since both will take part in the same WAEC final exams.
He has therefore called on all NGO’s, private individuals and the government to assist the school with more basic learning materials to improve the standard of learning in the school, promising that the group is ready to assist the pupils on proper methods of solving and answering exam questions before their upcoming final exams.
Over hundred mathematical sets have been shared to over eighty students at the school.
Receiving the items, the assistant headmaster of the school Mr. John Jorshre was much grateful and thanked the group for their kind gesture especially to Mr. Osabutey who was a former national service personnel at the school and has called on all to emulate the kind gesture of the group especially Mr. Osabutey and pledged that they will put the materials into good use.
