Briefing DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, the Abura Dunkwa District Police Commander, DSP Bernard Twum-Barimah, said the incident happened on Wednesday around 7:00pm.

DSP Twum-Barimah noted that his outfit received information that there had been an accident at Bosomadwe just opposite the Nyankomase Ahenkro Senior High School (SHS), whereupon he dispatched his men to the scene.

He added that when his men got to the scene, they were informed that the victims had been sent to hospital and they followed up to the medical facility.

DSP Twum Barimah said investigations conducted revealed that they were travelling from Bosomadwe to Nyankomase Township when the accident occurred.

The Police Commander stated that on reaching the secondary school junction, the front tyre of the vehicle hit a pothole, which compelled the vehicle to veer off the road, hitting an electric pole and somersaulting in the process.
