Abossey-Okai spare part dealers support NPP

A group of traders at the Abossey-Okai Spare Parts Market in Accra has thrown its weight behind the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.

The group, ‘NPP Volunteers of Abossey-Okai’ consequently donated 3,000 branded T-shirts to the parliamentary candidate of the party in the Ablekuma Central constituency, Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey to support his bid to represent the people in Parliament.

Secretary of the group, Frimpong Sarkodie, who made the presentation at a short ceremony at the party’s headquarters, said “we are doing this mainly because we witnessed the 23 years of the NDC and the eight-year rule of President J.A Kufuor.”

“In this way, we realized that NPP government’s policies are more favourable to the business community that will also ensure our growth and the growth of our businesses as well, so this is basically the reason why the select members of the NPP Volunteers of Abossey-Okai are making this donation to the party,” he stated.

Ablekuma Central Constituency Organizer of the party, Robert Kwame Dadzie, who received items on behalf of the party and the candidate, expressed profound gratitude to the group, stressing that the donations would go a long way to assist the NPP to wrestle power from the NDC in the December polls.
