Ghanaian business mogul Richard Nii Armah Quaye has partnered with the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, and has awarded scholarships to 115 Ga-Dangme students from 23 tertiary institutions, with beneficiaries also assured of priority consideration for employment opportunities and access to business investment support after graduation.

The beneficiaries were selected from 1,689 applicants who applied to the RNAQ and Ga-Dangme Scholarship Support Fund, spearheaded by RNAQ Holdings President, Richard Nii Armah Quaye.

The scholarship presentation ceremony was held at the Ga Mantse Palace on Monday, November 2, 2026, marking the launch of the programme’s first cohort.

The business mogul, through his RNAQ Foundation led by Emmanuel Lamptey, stated that 64.3 percent of the successful applicants had attained First Class academic standing, while the remaining 35.7 percent had Second Class Upper grades.

The selected students are drawn from institutions including the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Accra Technical University and the University of Cape Coast.

The beneficiaries received varying amounts under the scholarship programme, with some receiving cheques of approximately GH¢14,000 to support their tertiary education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Armah Quaye urged the beneficiaries to maintain strong academic performance, stressing the importance of continued academic excellence in sustaining the scholarship support.

He also encouraged applicants who were unsuccessful in the current selection to remain focused on their studies and improve their grades to meet the required academic standards for consideration in subsequent selections.

Beyond the financial assistance, Armah Quaye announced that beneficiaries who successfully complete their studies would receive special consideration for available employment opportunities within RNAQ companies, with priority slots set aside for them.

He further disclosed that beneficiaries interested in entrepreneurship after graduation could access investment support from RNAQ Capital, provided they present brilliant and viable business ideas capable of attracting investment.

The commitments extend the initiative beyond financial assistance for tertiary education, offering beneficiaries potential pathways into employment and entrepreneurship after graduation.

The scholarship programme is intended to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent deserving Ga-Dangme students from pursuing higher education.
